camping

So, here is the one shot from our latest camping trip (in July). We camped outside of Salida. We intended to go to Crested Butte (which is one of our favorite towns in Colorado), but a few factors hindered that long of a trek: 1. JG and 2. EG. So, we stayed closer to home. Here I am reading to JG before attempting to put him in his pack n play in the tent to sleep. He is on a big Donald Crews (the author) kick, so we are reading Inside Freight Train from the library.
Here is what our packing list looks like for a three night camping trip in the woods:

And my favorite part? After two nights in the tent, one rainy and one awake and both spent trying to run or hide from the mosquito and fly onslaughts. . . I was so thankful to be able to retreat to our friends' cabin about an hour away for the second two nights of our trip!

I'm so impressed! We're looking forward to camping with both girls for the first time in a couple of weeks.
Love the decor pictures too. How did you possibly find time to do all of that? You are amazing!

That is quite a list... we just went camping and I'm going to have to show it to Nick to prove that I'm not the only one that brings a lot of stuff camping. Although, you did much better than me... I took enough food to last us two weeks and at least ten more people... for two nights!
Miss you, A

the only thing that white board scribble really says to me: "Don't go camping with babies."

Way to go... i think i'll be waiting for the cousins camps post-diapering age...
