Going for Ice Cream

We LOVE Colorado summers. We love being able to jump on the bike, load the kids in the carrier and ride up to our favorite drive in dive about a mile up the road. JG loves it too!

camping

So, here is the one shot from our latest camping trip (in July). We camped outside of Salida. We intended to go to Crested Butte (which is one of our favorite towns in Colorado), but a few factors hindered that long of a trek: 1. JG and 2. EG. So, we stayed closer to home. Here I am reading to JG before attempting to put him in his pack n play in the tent to sleep. He is on a big Donald Crews (the author) kick, so we are reading Inside Freight Train from the library.
Here is what our packing list looks like for a three night camping trip in the woods:

And my favorite part? After two nights in the tent, one rainy and one awake and both spent trying to run or hide from the mosquito and fly onslaughts. . . I was so thankful to be able to retreat to our friends' cabin about an hour away for the second two nights of our trip!

summer. grass. feet.

Well, good thing it's summer. Today was the third day out of the last four that I have forgotten his shoes when we left the house. He doesn't like walking on bare feet, but he has been very gracious with his very forgetful mama. E-Grace doesn't seem to mind her bare feet, though.

Sista Week, 2008

Wow. Good times, good times. We even made cups for the occasion. (Did one of you other sistas take a picture of our sorority cups?) Here are a few shots of the week. We really love our kids!!! 4 adults and 8 babies 4 and under. We were outnumbered 2 to 1, but we never lost our morale. 7 of the cherubs are in diapers. Yeah. that is a LOT of diapers, in case you were wondering. Feeding time was CrAzy!! Who am I kidding? All the time was crazy except for short windows of time when we could convince them to sleep! Next sister week plan: NO KIDS ALLOWED!! Other pics are at: Boone, Puds, and Slit-Wit
